I'm looking for a source for lumber in the Phoenix area. My primary need is for lumber of adequate quality to construct several bathroom vanities. I don't want overly expensive wood, but I need something that will look pretty good when completed. I have looked at pre-made units at Lowes and HD but I just can't see spending over $200 for something I can probably build for $70. (Both would need vanity tops in addition to the costs shown.) Maybe I'm wrong about construction cost, I have never done this before, but I feel I have the proper tools and talent to attempt it.

Thanks in advance for any help. And thanks to all the members that have contributed to my knowledge level to give me the confidence to attempt this project.

I live in Gilbert. The place I go for hardwood is Timber, on Southern just west of Stapley in Mesa. Decent prices; selection is OK. You might also look up Woodworker's Source. I think there are a couple in the area, although I've never gone there.

I have bought a few times from Woodworkerssource, online. So far I am very happy with their service. They always ship from Phoenix to me.

Has all the stuff you don't find at HD or Lowes. Down by the airport in Chandler. Check it out.

I know there's one right by Sky Harbor, too, but I can't remember the name of it. Kind of a lame reference, but HTH.
