Ridgid Framing Nailer and Hitachi M12V router

I've got both of these up on eBay if anyone is interested:

Hitachi M12V Router - New in Box
    Ridgid Framing Nailer, gently used

I haven't made the table for the M12V in over a year, so it is time to let someone else have a go at it. The easiest way to get my shop a little more Kirbyized is to eliminate some of the tools I'm not using.

I want the ridgid but they usually go too high on ebay for me. I'll keep my eye on it though.

It went for way more than I expected. I'm happy with the rental price difference between purchase and ebay price. I don't get it. People will pay almost new price from someone they don't know for things. Amazing.

          New
          $259 + $18 ( Tax est.) = $277

          Slightly used

          $177 + $12 (Shipping) = $192

          31% savings

Not bad / not great, yea your buying it from someone sight unseen, no clue if the person is a scammer.

I was watching the router. Amazing what it went for (not judging here). The new M12V2 can be had for $159. Congrats, you should be happy with that sale. Maybe I'll clear out my garage on eBay.

Although it may see odd that folks will by things site unseen from strangers, the rule of thumb is that 95% of folks are honest. I have purchased a number of things on eBay and only got slightly scammed one time. Advertised new tool was actuallly used. Complained and was offered my money back minus two way shipping cost. I ended up keeping the tool as it worked fine.

See, I'll have to stick with the plan of getting a cheap HF unit. Or *gulp* driving them by hand.

When it is used, you rarely make back new. However, if you get something on a good deal from Amazon or somewhere. I have actually made a few bucks from things I kept in new condition for a year, then decided I didn't need. I don't understand paying more than what Amazon charges to someone I don't know. But I'm glad people do it. eBay cost is about $2 for listing (depending on options) and I think 5% of the final value. If you get PayPal payment, you get docked another few percent. I still think you make more than trying to sell locally.

For the nailer, I look at it like renting it for a summer for $80. Much cheaper than two weekends rent.
