I need to get a Windows 2000 CD Pro CD with key to reinstall it on an older laptop. I had one, but lost it. The only place I had the key was, of course, written on the CD. I know some of you have them sitting around not being used...

Make me an offer if you have one. I can swap a NIB dado throat plate if interested.

If Win2K was originally installed, your key should be on the bottom of the laptop.

Nope, this is NT4 vintage, before they started putting the OEM Winders stickers on them. This is an older ThinkPad (and I LOVE ThinkPads) that still runs great, but it won't run XP. It's perfect for 2000. I actually may end up putting some flavor of Linux and Open Office on it, which will be fun since I have never done it.

I might have one about, will look and see....another alternative (better performing, much more stable, certainly less expensive) would be to use a flavor of Linux w/Open Office.
I run SuSe Linux 10.1 as my main PC, VMware for Linux on that, using it to run a VM of Microsoft XP for the few programs I need to run that I have not found suitable replacements for.
Just my $.07 worth...
