    Harbor Freight 14" Bandsaw

    Sale Pending

Equipped with Grizzly riser block, link belt (has the mod done to remove the intermediate pulley), Carter tires, HF roller guides, fence (the Mark Duginske fence before he sold to Kreg) with micro-adjuster, mobile base, long tension adjustment rod (shop made), Iturra tension spring, and a machine shop made belt tensioner. I added a 2 1/2" dust collection port also.
It looks, runs and cuts as good or better than new.

    $225.
Local pickup, I really can't ship this saw.

I'm posting here for a couple of days before putting it on craigslist for more $$$$.

I haven't replaced it yet, Pat. Maybe the coming week. LOML 'insist' on buying me a new BS, so who am I to argue!?? :-)
I'm considering the Rikon 10-325 euro style, but the Powermatic is being recommended by some whose opinions I value.

Hey Ken - if you ever get down to Charleston, you can test drive the 10-325. I haven't used a Powermatic but this Rikon just purrs through cherry.

Thanks Mike. That comment just pushed me off the fence, reckon I'll get the 10-325. Any additional comments on the Rikon will be appreciated.

The setup was pretty straight forward and easy to do. Some of the lower cabinet holes are a pain to line up but that was about it. I put mine on a heavy duty Shop Fox base with ply so it's pretty mobile in my current cramped space. A friend of mine has one and used 3/4" Timberwolf blades and after some experimenting, we found that 1/2" 3 and 4 TPI blades cut as well and has a much better finished cut. I haven't resawn anything over 8 inches yet but the stock fence works perfectly well.
