    Wanted: Plunge/Fixed base Router Combo

I am a new woodworker that does not have a lot of money to spend on new tools. My wife is already about to leave me for buying my tablesaw, circular saw, and miter saw recently. I would like to purchase a plunge/fixed base combo router. If you have one laying around the shop that doesn't get much usage, please think about selling it to me.

Not that I want to stir up any trouble with your wife but, I have a Ryobi 3-base (fixed, plunge and D-handle) 2 HP variable speed soft start router that is not getting much use. If I remember right it sold for around $129.00 new. I'm looking for $80.00 plus shipping from 07642. It is a 1/2 inch router with a 1/4 inch collet insert and comes with an edge guide, inserts and a carry bag. Although it was originally packed in the carry bag I have yet to figure out how to get it all back in there! If you're interested you can PM me or post a reply here.

Well, as long as there's a thread full of combo buyers - I have the Dewalt 3 base 2 1/4 combo kit with a complete extra standard base and extra collets and extra cord all used, but in great shape + the original hard case + A Porter Cable Heavy Duty edge guide modified to work with the Dewalt router bases, and all orig accesories. That's 4 bases + a HD PC Edge guide that I'd like to sell for $195 + shipping OBO.

If anyone has an extra base that'll work on a Bosch router, I'd be glad to take that as partial trade or purchase it outright possibly.

                  Thanks,

                  Julian

                    Wade78.

Let me drop a link to this little gem I discovered lately:

I don't own it, YET. A friend bought one and brought it by my place to let me check it out. I almost fell in love. I have a few other router kits.... Bosch, PC, Hitachi. I plan on owning one of these though. The price is right, and the quality was top notch.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

I pulled the trigger a few days ago on the sears model mentioned by coach. I haven't used it yet, but it seems to be top quality.
