    Grizzly G8794 Planer

If a new woodworker lives within a reasonable drive from Charleston, I'll make you an offer you might like on this planer. This thing has a reputation for being king of snipe but if you're willing to to take little effort on infeed/outfeed, it's no worse than any other planer I've used. It's been used for two kitchen cabinet projects and normal hobby use other than that. I'm only getting rid of it since I've recently moved and previously used it outside (dust collection is nonexistent) and my new home won't allow that. I've gotten my money out of it so the price is $0.00 to an aspiring wood worker and the only condition is your word you intend to use it and not sell it. If you upgrade, I'd like to ask you pass it on also. If you take it and I find it on Craiglist, I'll send a Cherokee curse your way. For this price I won't ship.

Wow that's extremely generous of you Mike. Too bad I live 2589.7 miles or I'd take you up on your offer. And yes I yahoo mapped it .

Hey Mike, I am an aspiring woodworker living in Wilmington NC, I guess thats about 3 hours drive. If you can hold on to it, I would love to drive down this weekend and pick it up. I have just recently gotten some other tools, and havent even built anything yet, but Im sure I will be in need of a planer before long. Hit me @ kevinmichaelduval@hotmail.com

        Thanks a ton,
        Kevin

Kevin - I work out of Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter every other week so that might make it a little less painless or if you'd prefer to drive, it's not going anywhere. I'll email you my address.

P8 - this is kind of like that movie from several years ago - Can't remember the name but something like Pay It Forward ?? My very first power tool was a fairly decent bandsaw that this old gent who barely knew me, gave me. Know that I'm an old gent .....

That was a really nice gesture, Mike. Have you thought about throwing your name in for the Presidential nomination?

Thats great Mike, I can come and get it any evening during the week, but would certainly rather come on the weekend. Whether it is Charleston, or Sumpter. Whichever is easier on you old gent! Just mail me your address, and when you like me to show up. Is it possible you could throw some of your wisdom in to sweeten the deal?

                  Thanks again,
                  Kevin
