    Need Rip Fence

Well after 10 years I finally broke something on the old BT3K,
Got in a hurry ripping some half inch plywood and got a kick back
that snapped the lock down handle (Item 26) right off the rip fence.

Anyone got a rip fence for sale?

    Thanks

Ouch! Hope you didn't get hurt. Sorry, can't help out with the fence.

Do you know about kickback? Ray has a good writeup here... https://www.sawdustzone.org/articles...mare-explained

        Need Rip Fence

I was checking Ebay and order tree and I discovered there is a slight difference in the 3000 and 3001 rip fence and it seems to be at the lock down handle. Now I am wondering if they beefed up the 3001 fence and should I buy the 3001 fence for my BTK 3000 saw?

Anyone have experience with the two rip fences and which one would you recommend I order?

Yes it scare the H... out of me but luckly it just skinned my thumb a little so I stand a little older and much wiser about what kick back can do to you. I read about it all the time here but I guess you have to experience it to fully appreciate just how dangerous it can be not to mention costly as well...Ha

Need Rip Fence - Got it

          Hi All,

Did not get much help here and since I was in the middle of a project,
I ordered a new rip fence from Gardner for $75 dollars plus $17 quick ship.

I did find out you can not buy the rip fence for the BT3000 it is now extinct at service centers (might find it on Ebay). I could only find the BT3100 rip fence at the service center. Also, found the price was $105 for the BT3000 Fence and only $75 for the BT3100. Guess I am glad I could not find the older model....Ha

          Thanks
