    Delta 14" Bandsaw Riser Block

I purchased this item from Amazon thinking it would fit the Hitachi CB13F but it does not fit. I thought I read somewhere that it does fit but the rod is too thick for the Hitachi. It's still brand new and don't want to lose too much on this. If anyone is interested I'm sure we can work something out.

    Thanks.

Do you think $70 plus shipping is fair? Not sure how much shipping is going to be. If not we can figure out what the fair price is. Let me know. Thanks.

Not sure where you are or how much the shipping would be.

Send me an email rather than taking up forum space with our private banter.

        Thanks,
        Eric

Thanks BD, I did notice that there was finally a find for a riser kit for the CB13F. I'm just waiting to here some feedback from the guys that purchased this kit to verify that it does fit. I should be ordering mine soon.

                Riser Kit

Again, this forum is awesome! After going to Stan's website for the Hitachi Bandsaw, it turns out the riser kit for this bandsaw is compatable with Sears 12" Model 137.224320. I took the plunge...69.99 + shipping, for a total of 81 bucks. Hey...who would have thought ......6 extra inches for 81 bucks! Ahhh...that is 6" in cutting height.....he-he

Let me know how it works out for you. Also- is there any disadvantage to adding the riser? If I am not doing any serious resawing that needs the extra height.. does adding it have any downside? I may pick it up anyway.. as the price isn't too bad and it may be harder to come by if I wait a long time.

                    PALefty,

I will post how the whole project comes out. I have not done any resawing yet, I plan on making turning blanks for my lathe. From what I have read thus far, the riser kit only increases the productivity of the saw. I have not read any downsides to installing the kit.

                    Regards,

                    Dino

I also just put this block on my craftsman 12 inch bandsaw. It now has a "resaw" height of 11.5 inches. The saw now accepts 93.5 blades without problems.

Check out this post on the cb13f forum.
