Based on recommendations received on this forum, I got the Rigid belt/spindle sander. I love it. Clever design, works well, good dust collection.

I like the Rigid. The only problem I have is that, in Alaska anyway, they uit supporting it. Neither of the stores in Anchorage sell sleeves for it. One of the managers suggested the web site but, they are unavailable there. Luckily, I had stocked up when I purchsed the unit. I'm starting to run short of the smaller diameter ones. Someone suggested Klingspor's and I checked their web site. They appear to have decent selection so I'll try them. I forget the belt size right now but, they are common and there shouldn't be any trouble relacing them.

Still, it is one of the most used tools in the shop and I have no complaints regarding it's performance. I've got it hooked into the DC and the collection is adequate. When it was on the ShopVac the collection was also good.

The belt is 4" by 24", I believe - easy to come by

          Dale,

I have both the Rigid OSS and the Delta BOSS. I have not had much time to use either one but figure I do not need two. I would let the Rigid go for 75.00 but I do not know what the shipping charges would be from Houston to your location. I would be a little concerned about shipping it as you would need a fairly durable box to pack it in. Let me know if you are interested and if so, if you have any shipping ideas.

I might be interested in that Rigid OSS and my sister in Sugarland could pick it up for me. I'm unclear on just which model it is you're referring to though. Do you have any other info?

I'll add a vote for the rigid OSS/OBS -- I have it and love it.
