    Phenolic Sheet

I'm looking for a square foot sheet of Black 3/8" thick XX Phenolic. Similar to the type Woodhaven uses in their jigs/fixtures.

US Plastics carries Phenolic, but it's in sheets larger than you require. If you decide to buy a 2' X 4' sheet, you should be able to cut it into 1 foot squares and sell 7 of them to other Woodworkers for more than enough to cover your cost.

You might be better off buying a blank from Woodhaven.

You should be able to walk into a local plastics supplier and get whatever you need. From my experience, its pretty standard stuff that a lot of places stock.

Hopefully you live in a better local than I do. Not a lot of folks have it, and those that do sell it by the sq ft/in and at a hefty (to me) mark-up.

One idea is to check eBay. You'll have to filter off all the phenolic pool balls, etc., but if you pare things down by category, you can filter most of the chaff.

Our local plastics store doesn't handle phenolic. I mentioned it to the Blades'n'Bits guy who advertises on this site, and he said he had a contact in Canada (Toronto?) that could provide it at a good price. Might be worth checking with Blades'n'Bits.

                  I would consider something else.
These do not have lifetime warranty, Husky@HD,and HF ones do. I have both and the Husky is better in 1/2" drive size due to 250
