I recently finished updating my rental home master bathroom. Took me longer than I expected due to me injuring my lower back and sciatica pain. My poor tenants had to wait about month for me to recover so that I could finish the project. Anyway, its done and they're very happy. Now I have to start updating the primary bathroom. I'm building the vanity first before tearing out anything.
Bought the quartz drop offs from our local countertop store it was cheaper than laminate. They did the sink cut out and included the back splash and plywood underlayment for it. It was easy to install. I buy birch plywood for the vanity from them too because they have termicide in it for termites. I sprayed BIN primer then used the SW Galaxy series paint to spray the vanity. This paint is great as it dries fast 2 hrs. between coats. First day sprayed primer then 2 coats of the SW paint and let it cure overnight. Next day I sprayed 2 coats of Minwax Clear polycrylic satin water base. I used HD life proof LVP for the flooring, not liking their drop & lock system not to confident it'll hold for the long run. Time will tell. I also ran GFI outlet behind the new toilet, so the tenants have the option of installing their own Bidet/washlet. Adding a GFI outlet behind the toilet is something you should consider whenever you remodel/update your bathroom.
