Annnd we are done. All piping, wiring, and testing completed today. It's going to take another day to clean the basement and one to clean the workshop, but the sweeper is functional. The system we installed is a Prolux CV12000 from GreatVacs, but you can order the same system from HD (it still comes from GV) at the same price. The pipe that exits the sweeper on the black elbow is the exhaust. It goes up into the joist space, runs across the shop, through a muffler, and out the back wall of the basement to the outside. The other two pipes are the intakes from each end of the house. The pipe joints that are taped with PVC tape are not glued to allow for easier removal of the power system, or replacement by a different system. The unit has a 10 year motor warranty and a 25 year warranty on the rest of the unit. All of the wall inlet wiring is terminated in the two junctions boxes up in the joist space above the sweeper. Now I only have to empty the dust bin every 6 months or so instead of after every use like the Dyson DC65 Animal this system is replacing.

Nice work! Looks like you have the technique down.
