Rubio Monocoat - I'm almost sold....

We are trying to have the hardwood floors in our new home refinished prior to our move-in date.

The original contractor recommended 'Bona Traffic' due to our dogs. The original contractor can't get to the job until mid-October. Our furniture arrives October 1.

I've found another contractor that can fit us in - and he recommended Rubio Monocoat - a penetrating oil finish. He can applly Bona - but really wanted us to consider Rubio.

Bona and Rubio are very different finishes - I do like the idea of being able to spot repair areas with Rubio.

Does anyone here have experience with Rubio on hardwood floors?

    Thanks,

Suggest you search for "Rubio Monocoat dogs" with google.

It requires quite a bit more maintenance that a poly.

I'd go for a floor poly with as much tough stuff (aluminum oxide or whatever) to stand up to the dog.
