Our house has the gas lines run in flexible pipe from each device to a main manifold in the basement. I'd like to move the manifold from its current location on the foundation wall which is in the shop area, to an adjacent partition wall. Doing so would move the manifold from the shop into the utility room with the hvac AND H2O heater. It looks the ends of the flex pipe connect to the manifold with a 2 piece brass connector. Possibly a compression fitting?
Is anyone familiar with this system? Can the connections be unscrewed and
reused, or are these one time use? Is there some sealants involved? I may just live with it, but if it is relatively simple to move, it would make the finishing of the shop space much easier.
