    Attic renovation starting next week

I have a big project that starts next week, building a new master suite in an unfinished part of our attic. The permits came though this week, so the contractor starts building the dormers next week. Even though the initial stages of the project will not be done by me, would anyone here be interested in following the progress?

The rough idea is taking an approx 20 ft by 26 ft attic, add two shed dormers, a few skylights and finish it all off. The total floor space added will be around 400 sq ft (there are some unusable areas). I will be doing the finish work, electrical, insulation, bathroom tile, flooring, and possibly drywall. I have hired out the framing, roofing, siding, windows, and rough plumbing.

Are you having to sister the floor joists, or were they already large enough?
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

The house is heated by radiators, I'm ordering 2 panel radiators and one bathroom radiator from Veha, the plumber will rough them in. AC will be like the rest of the house, a window unit for now. There is no money in the budget for anything else right now.

Large enough. There is existing flooring in most of the area. None of the contractors looking at the job thought anything more than adding underlayment over the existing tongue & groove floor was necessary.
