      I made a drywall lift when I did my basement (about 800 square feet). It made hanging it pretty simple. Carrying 12 foot sheets home on the top of my SUV was still an adventure, however. Carrying them into the basement was also not much fun. But once they were in the room, it was pretty easy.

      Taping is OK if the board is hung well and I'm in the right mood. My ceilings are all smooth so that adds more time. Where I got in a hurry, however, I can still easily see a few seams in the ceiling. Maybe I will fix them. Some day...

      Drywall is one of those jobs where the materials are so cheap it is hard not to decide to do it myself.
