I have a split AC system 4 ton. The coils are an inverted "V" like this "^". The water is supposed to drip down and into a tray. When a certain fill level gets reached it flows into a condensate pump and gets pumped outside.
The tray has had a very slow dripping which I have a catch bucket collecting. Yesterday, I cleaned out the back section of the tray and evacuated the line and pathway to the pump. I couldn't get to the sides (without pulling it out), but they appeared clean. I still have a very slow drip. I'm thinking there may be still some obstruction on the side of the tray causing the water not to drain all the way back. Or, that there is so much water being removed from the air that it's just dripping right off the coils instead of making it to the tray. Any thoughts short of me pulling out the coils and checking the entire tray?
