Self-Leveling Concrete: Always use full bag?

Need to level out a dip on a slab before putting in a new laminate floor. Probably only need half the bag of Levelquik RS to get the job done, but is there a reason why I have to only mix whole bags?

Does the compound segregate and settle over time in the bag, so that some of the important goodies won't get in the mix if I only pour half the bag into a half-amount of water?

I doubt its a homogeneous mixture through processing, bagging, moving, etc. Just put the dry mix a bucket, mix it up, put back what you don't need.

You don't need to mix the whole bag. However, it's difficult to know how much you really need for a repair. Pouring too much of it on the low spot is almost as bad as not pouring enough.
