DIY Recommendation for chiiping paint on a steel tub?

    All,

Was up visiting my folks this Christmas, and my dad showed me a place on their steel tub where the paint has come off. It was only a few spots about the size of a pencil eraser, and fortunately there has been no rust yet. The tub is old (40 years), but my dad is looking for a quick fix to try to head off any problems. Can anyone recommend a good DIY kit for repairing steel tub paint issues like this? I'm hoping we can get something he can do himself without having to get a tub expert out there (he and mom are both retired on fixed incomes now). Anyone gone through this and have any recommendations?

    Regards,

    Pete

Look for an enamel repair kit. Usually a small bottle of enamel in matching colors with a attached brush like a finger nail polish bottle.

You can pick up a small bottle of "appliance touch-up" paint. HD and Lowes should have something similar. Clean the area well, and remove any rust first.
