    Shop Stairs

I'm getting ready to add stairs to the second level of my shop. I have an 81" rise over an 80" run. I realize this is steep, but it's all the room I have. Would a better solution be to go up a couple steps, then turn a corner and finish the stair, assuming I have enough headroom?

I've looked at "stair calculators" on the Web until my brain hurts. Is there some relatively simple to lay out the stringers?

    Many thanks!

Well if you could make it an 81" run then you'd have a 9" rise and 9" run. My basement steps are 9" rise. This is steep but my 16mo old can climb em. If you can't do that then I would just make it 9 steps @ 9" rise and have one step be narrower than the others.
