    He's taunting me! Chipper 1, Paul 0

Look at him/her mocking me! Standing there defiantly on his pyramid of bricks,
surveying his new territory like a conquering general! He is so darned cute,
    though.

    We'll see about that!

And I bet this is what he is thinking:

"**** human, I am going to go chew all of the spark plugs wires off his car!"

We got 2 of them in a hole by the driveway. Sometimes when I'm in the garage I get caught up watching them run around and build there house.... And yes they are cute
Of course Lumber is expensive, what do you think, it grows on trees

        Cute....maybe....destructive..definately!
I have already repaired a sunken spot on the fairly new blacktop driveway because they burrowed a cavity under it.
I want to know how to get rid of them!
Why doesn't the word 'planing' show up in my computer spell check?

Back home in Minnesota, we had more chipmunks than gophers (but plenty of them too)

.22 was the preferred method for relocating them to the great rodent burrow in the sky... If you live in a city, a Crossman type CO2 or pump pellet rifle is more than adequate to the task and a moderate amount of common sense will ensure safety for all but the target.

20 Ga or even a .410 will do nicely!

Mice bait, sprinkled around their burrow entrance holes. Advice came from a former co-worker who grew up on a farm.

It worked like a charm for me. Had the problem of burrows under the driveway and front stoop.

I found it out Krogers in wedge shaped boxes, with the other pest control supplies.

                Have fun,
                Russ

Chipmunks can be destructive, but they can also be talented, especially if one is named ALVIN.

This one brings back some memories.

We can't use pellet or .22 in our area. I have tried plenty of chemicals and the mice/rat bait without success. The HavAHeart trap with a few seeds or nuts works like a charm. Since May have trapped 23 of the critters and now don't see any activity. Easy to "relocate" them or give them SCUBA lessons.
