While I was on vacation I picked up a magazine on solar energy and it really got me interested. Does anyone know of a DIY web site on solar energy? To start with I thought could I build a pre-heater for our hot water. Being in Michigan it would only be for the summer but if my thinking is right it could be as simple copper pipe running in a black tank on the side of our house.

I am marking these sites along with some others for when I retire. It will give me something to do when I retire and save me money too. I have been looking at solar power or at least solar assistance - off and on since the '70s.
