Hi all, I need to replace the vinyl portion of the sweep on a swinging shower door. Manufacturer is unknown, where would I find it? Bought the house new in 1999. The vinyl is T-shape, top of T is 5/16" possible shrinkage, length needs to be at least 30". Saw some on Amazon (yes Amazon) but it looks to small, I have tried glass companies that sell shower doors, the big box retailers and the little guys. What am I to do. I guess it might mean replacing the whole sweep. Your thoughts.

Try your local Ace-True Value hardware store. Those places have an amazing amount of replacement things hanging around the place.Sometimes the old man passed out and left the am radio on so I got to hear the oldie songs and current event kind of things -
I needed to replace our shower door sweep under exactly the same circumstances... I went to the neareset True Value store and got a generic old white sweep -- The height of the sweep was more important that the profile. -- I took the old one off, laid the aluminum pressure plate over the replacement sweep, punched a couple of holes in it and screwed it into place. I trimmed the ends once it was in place. The aluminum plate has some enlongated holes to premit the clearance to be adjusted...
The replacement been in about 18 months and probably needs to be replaced again. Bad design as far as I'm concerned..Guy Cox
