Help Installing Flooring

I picked up some bamboo flooring from home depot and noticed it is an irregular thickness. The thickness is 15mm. I also picked up the flooring nailer from harbor freight and they provide two shoes. One for 25/32 thickness and one for 1/2" thickness. So I am confused how I set the nailer to install this???? Will one of these shoes work? Do I need to rent a bostitch (sp?). If so, how do I adjust that for the thickness.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the HF flooring nailer, but if I did my math correctly the 1/2" shoe is a little shy of the 15mm by about 0.09 inches. Not sure if that will cause any problems, but you may try to shim that 1/2" shoe to bring it up to 15mm. Maybe try some layers of tape or cut some pads from self adhesive floor tiles.

When I put down the HD bamboo flooring, I used a rental Bostich nailer with a 1/2" shoe, and it worked out just fine.

great. thanks guys. I'll use the 1/2" shoe. I just wasn't sure how close it has to be. Somewhere near the top inside corner of the grroove, right

Also, when you used bamboo. Did you have staples? If so, 2" 15 1/2 gauge.

What air pressure was the gun set at? I was gonna start with 70 and see what happens.

I used the flat flooring nails. The pressure will depend on your floor. Mine is 3/4" pine floorboards, so I think I had it set around 90psi.
