    Final Prep prior to painting

    Hi

I've sanded my woodwork and walls (plaster board) and am getting ready to prime the entire room and then paint it. One quick question: what is the best way to clean up all the dust from the newly sanded walls and woodwork? These walls have previously been painted.

Vacuum and then tack cloth? Vacuum and soap and water? Something else entirely?

    Thanks.

I used a brush to knock most of the dust down, then used a shop vac with a fine filter to sweep it up. Used a slightly damp cloth on walls, to get it off the walls. Don't know if it's the proper way but it did work for me.

Don't use a shop vac without a fine filter or you will blow it back out into the air / room. A sweeper probably won't be much better, unless it uses water like a Rainbow to trap the dust.

Swiffer Mop. You can get the ones that have a solution. Fast and clean without a lot of labor.
