Very nice Stan, must have taken a long time to complete.
How did the family manage without a functioning kitchen for what must have been quite some time?
We've got to re-do our kitchen some time in the next couple of years.

Very nice. LOML has already put in an order for her kitchen in hickory, and she saw this over my shoulder. All she said was "Uh huh. I thought it might look something like that." That's a compliment from where I sit.
        Measure it with a micrometer...
        Mark it with a crayon...
Cut it with a chain saw!

          Tim,
One of the first items tackled was to move the pantry. We had a strange 5' wide X 4' deep opening on one side of the kitchen (no idea what it was intended for). The freezer that we had there and a microwave stand, were moved out and the new pantry was built. This gave us about 3 times the usable space that we had in the existing pantry.

Once that was done, the area where the old pantry was located was demo'd (the wife had lotsa fun with the demo part), and a broom/mop closet was built along with the area for the new fridge and above fridge cabinet.

So far, no non-function to the kitchen.

Then it was a matter of building cabinets in segments and move them in so there was little disruption to activities in the kitchen. I think the longest there was any disruption was less than a day when the sink and new dishwasher cabinets were installed.

It was handy to have extra space in the new pantry to put dishes and pots/pans when a cabinet bank was to be replaced.

Hope that helps in some shape or form.

Stan that's first I've seen your completed pictures! You did an outstanding job. I'm sure Liz is just tickled. I'm thinking that you do indeed have the nicest kitchen in your neighborhood.

The only bad thing is LOML has surely seen these same pictures and I'm sure she will soon start bugging me to expand on what I've already started in our kitchen. Once I heal that is....
