If you are a wildlife nut, just plant a few acres in wildlflower, sunflower, etc. Deer, rabbits, birds, etc would be happy.

This one I can actually offer advice on. I mow 8 acres of my 40 acre yard site. There are about 150 trees and 16 buildings on those 8 acres.
#1 - You will NOT be happy with the job a bush hog type mower does.
#2 - A pull type finish mower is a different story altogether.
      #2 - 7 acres ain't big enough to need a tractor for.
#3 - Tractors leave ruts on yard grass
#4 - riding mower is good for a big open yard with few trees and few buildings.
#5 - when there are lots of the above, a ZTR is the ONLY way to go.

I started out with tractor and bush hog. Then went to riding mower, then lawn tractor/mower, then to ZTR. because of all the trees and buildings it still takes 8 hours with the ZTR. It was closer to 30 hours with the tractor and bush hog and it looked like a rough cut field when i was done.

If at first you don't succeed, deny you were trying in the first place.
