    Roofing Material For Easy DIY

I had to build this shed after Wilma, it's a 10' x 12'. Had two just like the one to the left. After the hurricane the one on the right went bye bye to Kansas, leaving everything inside. It was like it went straight up. Anyway in my search for what to use for the roof, I looked at the corrugated metal, fiberglass, polycarbonate, PVC. and shingle. I ran across this material in Lowes called Ondura. Fantastic stuff, and easy to install. It comes in 49" x 79" and is light. Can be lapped like shingles for longer runs, or is sold in tile sizes. Only about $15/sheet. LONG warranty. Look on their website: http://www.ondura.com

I've looked at that several times, but never checked it out that close because of the limited colors in stock. May have to investigate it further.

Never used it. Dimensional shingles or standing seam 3' metal sheets is what I use. I will not use 3tab or typical asphalt rolled roofing. There is a rubberized rolled roofing that i've used, forget the name of it though.

        Cabnet Man,
We got your shed from the hurricane, but we sent it back a month later in a tornado.
