The zircon I got has the stud finder, deep dtud finder, metal finder and AC finder. Ithink $35 at the BORG.
I use the same model, 3 mode Zircon. It has AC detect, which is nice. I tap the wall to make sure I initialize it on a hollow spot and it does studs accurately in drywall, and pretty decent in plaster with deep scan. I also like the metal scan for tracing wire runs. Seems to work decent with any romex power line. Mixing between AC detect and metal, I can generally trace the run.
