I, too, love the Homier bases. I've found that I can cut the sides and by using a piece of angle iron, I can extend the size sufficiently to hold my Ridgid 13" Planer...approx. 12" extension. I used bolts, wasn't sure that self-threading screws would hold the weight. Next, I'm going to see if I can cut the front/back to fit it to my drill press.
