    Ooops...

Well I was trying to finish up my second project today and it didn't turn out the way it was supposed to... I'm making a larger rocking horse for my grandson, and I was dry fitting all the parts. Apparently they weren't all cut out precisly because the back leg assembly sort of got stuck in the body, and when I finally was able to free them, it was only by having the back end off the body split off in several pieces. Oh well, live and learn.
I did learn some things on this adventure. I think I'll be making a template for cutting out pieces, then using the router to trim them down to a final size. That way I can be sure of having the pieces be the correct dimensions so we don't have this happen again.
I will rebild it and hopefully it'll be in the finished projects soon.
    Have a good weekend everyone!

      Mark,
If you ever get to where you do not make mistakes on occasion we will probably have to ban you from all things human.
Learn from the problem and move on. If you are like the rest of us, there will be other problems down the road!

Have any birds tried to perch on that long nose of yours, Mark?

I'm a newbie at this. My first small project wound up putting twice as much wood in my scrap bin as there was in the project. Guess that will get better with time and experience.

              Hey Pappy,

You stole my line, with the exception than I can't (or won't ) remember all my screwups, both past, current and future.

I look at it this way: If every project worked out perfecly, where's the challenge.
