Where to buy wood in the Bay Area (East Bay)

    Hi Guys,

Anyone from the Bay Area know where to pick up unfinished wood in the East Bay? I live out in Dublin, so anything out here would be good. I did a search and there's the 84 lumber in Dublin, but they said they only do construction material, not woodworking type of wood. Is there anywhere you guys go?

    Thanks!

I do not know if this is close enough, but there used to be a great lumber yard in Pleasanton (sp). I did some cabinets for my brother 20 yrs ago and that is where I went. I also got some nice Redwood there.

Good luck, Randy from Oceanside, CA

There's MacBeath's in Berkeley on Ashby near I-80. They specialize in exotic hardwoods.

If you ever get out my way, there's a great place called "Aura Hardwoods" in Modesto...

Thanks for the replies guys. I went to the Woodcraft in Dublin and didn't really think they had much selection. I'll have to check out the other places for sure though. Thanks!
