I actually got the Shark two days ago but you know how works gets in the way so it was today before I was able to get it mounted. Man! it sure is neat. I am sooo proud of it and I love the color I picked. Kind of matches my HF DC. Cool! Excellent looking and extremely well built. I'm even more impressed with it now that I have one in my hands. Great job Lee, thanks. I do have one question however, yeah I know, what's new. Hehe. Anyway, I know that the knife should be about 1/16" away from the teeth of the blade all the way around the curve of the knife but I can't seem to get it any closer then 1/4". Do you think this is important it being that far away? I can get it closer but then the clamp isn't level and I'd think that that would be more important. Any comments or confirmation would be appreciated as usual. Thanks.
Got my new Shark mounted today!

I just got mine mounted today as well! I had it sitting here for a week, but I just didn't have the time to put it on. this thing looks great, and I pushed a piece of wood up against it and it just lifts so smooth, the complete opposite of the stock guard. I'm glad I was convinced to buy this!
I also have a question... this thing just sits on top of the two sets of bolts, right? It's not actually clamped down, but essentially just rests on top?Comment

Thanks Guys.
It seems that my online support is every bit as good as BT3Central.
Here is the link to the mounting instructions that should help to clear up some of the questions.

Thanks Lee but I already read and printed those out. Oh and by the way I no longer have the a 1/4" gap between blade and knife. Boy! this thing is stupid proof I believe. I had mounted it last night like I said and just couldn't get any less gap then the 1/4" I was worried about. Well, today I was able to use it and in preparing for the cut I noticed that the top of the knife was a little higher then the blade. So remembering that that was not supposed to be I adjusted it lower and low and behold it automatically gave me a 1/8" gap. Now that's cool! Oh, and as far as sawdust - what sawdust? There ain't none!!! Between the built in dust port and the one on the guard there just isn't any dust at all. Lee, thank you, thank you, thank you for building and designing a simply outstanding quality product! You are invited to dinner if you are ever down in Austin, Texas. I'm just totally pleased with this product and it's so pretty too. Hehe! Oh one last thing. I am so glad I order those shims. My knife is perfectly inline with the blade thanks to those. It would have been off a hair had I not ordered them but now perfect and I mean perfect. WOW!May you die and go to heaven before the Devil knows you're dead. My Best, MacComment

A heads up to those who might remove the riving knife when swapping in a dado blade. When I replaced my regular blade and the riving knife, I apparently didn't tighten the knife down enough. When I next turned on the saw, the knife drooped a bit and the blade came in contact with the inside curve on the knife, spitting tiny metal shards at me. Glad I had my eye protection on!- David
