    Sanding using a drill press

    Hi guys,

I am trying to smooth out some jig saw cuts using a drill press sander attachment similar to the following: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...id=00925245000

Now, my problem is, once I start sanding the sleeves either slide up the base, or down and off the base. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for any help...

Dumb question, but have you tightened the drum up sufficiently?

There probably is a nut on top of the sanding pad and will be left handed threads, tighten to the left.

thats the right track! a nut or screw will expand the rubber to get tight
