    Miter slot holes

    I received my accessory kit today, and when I took out the miter slot table, I noticed there are no predrilled holes in it for mounting, as there are in the manual. Not a big deal, but I was wondering if this is common, and if anyone has any advice or warnings on making these holes. I don't have a drill press, but I think I should be able make them accurately enough with a hand drill.

          Mine was predrilled too. It might be easier to send it back in exchange for one that is already drilled. I can take some measurements off of mine if you need them.

                  I have two tables, both came drilled.

                  The holes are a bit oversized to allow the table to be aligned with the blade, so the accuracy of their locations is not all THAT critical (within reason, of course). If you'd rather not wait for an exchange, I'd think you could do fine drilling your own holes based on measurements supplied by someone here.

                      Mine was predrilled also! If you do drill yourself, be sure to center punch prior to drilling so the bite doesn't run.

                          My 2 table were both pre drilled. I'd call Customer service at Ryobi and let them get you another. You'll probably end up with both and then you can drill the first one and use it on the right side.

                              Mine was also predrilled, but I elongated the holes a little to allow for more adjustment. Nonetheless, I would send it back for a predrilled replacement.

                                      I'm going to call Ryobi tomorrow. I'm sure they'll send a replacement out. I'm not in a hurry, I don't have anything with a miter bar yet. But I've got some planned...
