Out here in Phoenix AZ they had 2 in the warehouse they brought them down let me take a look and choose before I bought. I guess it depends on the manager and how easy it is to sell the packs where you are located.Comment

Picked up my two pallets yesterday, about 1/3rd of the first one had to be thrown out due to rot and mold. I hit the jackpot on the other pallet though. Some boards 10-15 were at least 12" wide and there was alot of what appears to be the cherry. Once I clean up the rest of the boards I'll try to post some of the species types.AL JEWELLComment

Mine was mostly 1/2" x 3" or so. I haven't taken the pack apart, but there are some interesting looking boards in the middle. The size is perfect for what I intend to make out of it. My buddy and I have decided to be come sulter's selling colonial reproductions of various wooded items. The size is perfect for salt boxes and early sconces.George AKA Rounder

I went with Pat (Popeye) last Saturday and picked up 2 more packs. Threw out 1/2 or more due to mold, mildew, cracks, twist, cup, etc. This would be a lot better deal if they would not store the pallets outside.
I've found the skids to be some of the better material because of the size (2"x2"x4' to 4"x4"x4'). The best I've gotten was stuff I talked them into letting me have in addition to the wood pack. I have hickory, white oak, padauk, pinkheart, maple, bloodwood, walnut, australian cypress, cherry, bolivian rosewood, etc. Boy do I have some plans for that bloodwood! Beautiful stuff!
I think Pat & I agree that we've bought the last pack of wood from them, but I told the manager he could save some of his dumpster bill by saving all of the hardwood and poplar skids and any cutoff scraps for me. I just hope he does.
