    Lumber sources, Central Texas

Any sources for S2S or raw lumber in Central Texas? I live near Fort Hood (Killeen).

You are probably going to have to go to either the Dallas/Ft Worth or Austin areas to find a decent supplier for hardwoods. Someone closer to your area may be able to give you a better answer.

Fine Lumber in north Austin has a decent stock of the more common hardwoods in either s4s or rough. They also keep a bit of exotics on hand. Still the best place for eotics around here is Hogans (formerly Paxton's).

Thanks, Pappy. Haven't had any luck locally, but Austin is only about 60 miles from here. Plan a Sat. trip soon.

Web page for Fine lumber. Problem is they aren't open on Saturday.
