    starter project

You guys have any good links to plans for some simple starter projects. I was thinking about a birdhouse but I'm not sure how hard that actually is to build. Total noob here, so plans with alot of detail of the techniques used is appreciated. thanks

    Try this site:

    http://www.woodworkersworkshop.com/r...ex.php?cat=102

Use its search window for "bird houses".

    Have fun.

If you look through here, you can find a number of projects under "Getting Started". Some are harder than others but you might find something to try.

Another resource, with projects at several skill levels.

You might want to start by making some jigs or fixtures for your shop.
