    Tutorials of Projects

    I have always been amazed at some of the incredible things the members of this forum build, and at times would love to see how they build them. I think a great section for the forums would be an area where members document the steps they take to make the project.

    One member, TundraMan has a great website that has great documentation of how he makes his guitars. Truely a great site. It almost makes me want to attempt to build a guiter (bass) but I don't think I'm at the level to do the neck, but someday. I just think seeing the process helps other to take on the challange.

    I personally would like to see some bandsaw boxes, and some regular boxes. Jigs and fixtures are always great as well.

    I would just like to say that I know there are tons of places on the net to find this stuff already but I rather see what this talent group has and does. I've been a member here since 2003 and feel this is one of the best sites out there.

      Ken shares all kinds of info there and does an excellect job on his tutorials. There's a little bit of everything there, not just turning info.

      Definately worth a look-see.

          Excellent site. To me seeing some of the techniques used and performed makes my head get thinking of how I myself can possibly do some of that as well.

              If one was to go through the archives one will find many examples of this under "project related discussions" I know I've posted several different projects somewhat step by step there over the years.

                  Well, there are some posting of techniques that are done by Niki, and he does his tutorials in picture form. I believe that there are some done by RodKirby and turnershop (mentioned above) aswell.

                  I do agree with you, that it would greatly beneficial to us (newbie) especially if there were pictures that were take while a project was being built, so that we could learn from their techniques.

                  As you said it, i think this is the best website that i have come across and definitely there is some great talent here. good idea GregB.
