You guys are providing sound advice. I sometimes manage to do something similar or at least ignore her. All too often I say something profane (so she'll understand I did not appreciate the advice) or just tell her she does not know what she is talking about.

I feel blessed my wife puts up with me. On the other hand, I think there must be something in the female gene that causes them to want to offer unsolicited advice about things they know absolutely nothing about. I avoid to the maximum extent possible asking for my wife to hold up the other end of a board or any kind of assistance because it always seems to be accompanied by advice that I then have to deal with. She is also uncannily unskilled. If there are not 3,000 verbal briefings on the correct way to hold up a board, it will be done worse than no help at all. My son can step in and do the right thing without coaching. I truly do not get this. My best strategy is to keep the wife out of the shop.

Not necessarily. There may be something she can do better than you. LOML is a better finisher than me in most cases. Probably has something to do with patience, 'cause she sure has a lot with me!

My wife's more to the other extreme...she barely ever steps foot in the shop or pays any attention whatsoever to what I'm doing with wwing unless I spend money! A little attention from my wife in the shop would be welcome at this point. There's pros and cons to both sides!
Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

I just hope for your sake that next time the lights are dimmmmmmmmed she won't have that same 'care-less' attitude!
