My FIL called yesterday. He said some guy at his work is selling 1"x12"x11' boards of oak. Planed both sides. He's not sure if it's planed to 1" or to 3/4.

Anyways. He said the guy is selling for 25 bucks a piece. I asked for 4 boards if he could still get any. Seems like a fair (if not good) price to me.

Was I right in my thought that this is roughly 11 board feet per board? So under 2.5 a board foot? supposed to be good select boards.

Now gotta figure out what to do with them....

That site is a store near me where I get my wood. For the quantity you are looking at they want 2.95/BF + about .25 for S3S. So you are getting a decent deal.
