    Oil finish and spontaneous combustion?

I know oil soaked rags can ignite and I'm very careful with them. But I started to wonder if nitrile gloves can too. When I take mine off the oil on the fingertips is on the inside. Anyone know if this is a hazard?

On the same subject, how about oil containing foam brushes?

I've wondered about that myself. When I take them off I put them in the middle of my garage cement floor, not touching along with the rag I used to spread the oil finish.

I know I probably should put them outside, but I've not had a problem yet.

Mine go outside to dry overnight with the rest of the rags / cloths / paper towels, then into the city bin a day or to later. The only time they go right into the shop trash is when I'm using them to avoid getting super glue or Gorrila glue on my fingers.
IMHO, drying is drying, be it cloth or rubber...

I put mine in a burn can and put a match to em, then I don't have to worry about them.

I burn the rags, gloves and the cardboard soda case I set any of the above in to keep things clean.

I toss them into a bucket of water outside the shop door being sure to totally immerse them
