    Birch Question

I see a local ad for "Plywood, White Birch, 3/4", 1", 1/2", 11 Ply" in the paper.
Is this likely Baltic Birch ie no voids and all that jazz? With those sizes it probably is coming from a cabinet shop I would guess.

Edit : Appears that White Birch is not Baltic Birch.

the 11 ply would also indicate not BB if referring to 3/4".
3/4" BB typically has 13 plys.
Even at that it may be some nice plywood at 11 ply.

      13 ply. Thats right.

It does seem like a good deal. 42" by 58" for $5. No idea what it was used for to create this odd size.

That is a very good deal. All kinda cabinets that you could build with that stuff. Perhaps it's a common cutoff size from a larger 5x10 industrial sheet or something, and rather than just waste it they are trying to sell it.

        A good score for ya.

42" x 58" Birch for $5. You better jump on that before it is gone.

Check it out physically if possible. Some of that stuff could be seconds including problems of delamination due to improper or insufficient glueing, bad plies, or a directional problem with the plies, or some odd smell. But, for that price you can't complain.
