Well, I hadn't, until today at HD that is. I was very pleased as I have a couple of ideas for this stuff. Neat! especially since I can't seem to find 1/4" pressed board around my house.
Ever hear of 1/4" MDF?

Been using 1/4"/6mm MDF for YEARS! (Yes, Loring; I know 1/4"=6.35mm)
In fact, in Oz, the 6mm MDF is a poofteenth larger - maybe moisture?
I use a 1/4" spiral bit to rout dados for it and the fit (with glue) is perfect.Downunder ... 1" = 25.4mmComment

And I meant to say before - in Oz a lot of use is made of 3mm (1/8") MDF - eg melamine one side for drawer bottoms. I use it often for full size layout plans.Downunder ... 1" = 25.4mmComment

Might be a silly question, but isn't hardboard basically the same as MDF.
The amount of dust is sure similar.Brian

In Oz: hardboard = masonite = nearly black in color. Dimpled on one side, flat on the other. Filthy stuff to work with. Also sold here as pegboard sheets. 6mm thick only
MDF = Medium Density Fiberboard = differing "pale" shades of beige.
Multiple thicknesses available. OK to work with "sensible" DC - I love it!Downunder ... 1" = 25.4mmComment
