how about a glue scraper or if you dont have one of those a glue scraper should work.
If neither one of those work try a glue scraper.

    They are cheaper than planers.

      Mineral spirits did it.

Thanks to all that replied. I tried Mineral Spirits on a sample piece, then sanded, stained and finish coated the sample and it looks fine.

I guess I need to get a planer, or buy wood somewhere else, or cutoff the end with the sticker to waste or mount the board where the sticker is hidden from here out. I guess at one point in time, you were all "newbies" also, and with your help and a little money, I hope to learn from my experiences whether they are a success or a failure.

      Thanks again.

Throughout my racing career I was constantly reminded of this: "Keep the pointy end forward and the shiny side up!"

Pick longer pieces of wood and have the Borg cut them slightly oversized and with the sticker on the waste side. The waste will go into the cull bin and someone will pick it up for a lower price. I suppose you could even grab your own culls later in the day
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we are all hopped up on caffine.
