    Cross Cut Sled vs SMT

    Hi,

I was wondering if I could get a couple of opinions on the following question. Does the SMT act a small cross cut sled? or is a cross cut sled something totally different?

    thanks,

SMT is a small cross-cut sled. It is not big enough to cut sheets of plywood but on a smaller piece it gives you more precision than a typical miter gauge. With some creativity you can also make it work with router that you mount into BT.

I use a cross cut sled, it is the first thing I build for any saw I get. I found them to be great for good ol 90s but the SMT on the BT wa cool for repeatable non 90 cuts. now I have a home made dubby for that
