planer for light use

Dear all:
I am considering to buy a planer but never try it before. Don't think I will use it a lot. Can someone advise me which one is best choice and best value under $$$250?

There are only a few choices under $250. Most of those don't have the what I consider the two most important features of a planer...a cutterhead lock to reduce snipe, and a dust chute.

Delta has the TP300/TP305 for ~ $200. No cutterhead lock...not sure about DC.

Grizzly has a similar model for ~ $200. No cutterhead lock, no chute available, and after s/h there's no price advantages either.

Ryobi has (had) the AP1300 for ~ $250 with a cutterhead lock and DC. They've got a new AP1301, but I don't know if it has the same features...looked pretty sparse in the pic.

Cummins carries refurbed Ridgid TP1300 sometimes for ~ $200...a decent choice IMO.

The refurb Ridgid would be #1 choice but a lot of people have been pretty satified with the Ryobi. You might be able to use this link to save a few $$ if you purchase at HD.
