    Assembly Table.

I finished this one a while ago, but didn't post it. I'm still debating putting a vise on it or not. It would be useful, but it might also get in the way. I'm also not entirely sure that the 3/4 oak and 3/4 MDF is enough to really hold the vise properly. I am just finishing a drill press cart that has 2x4 construction, and I have a router table that is coming of the same ilk, I could put a vise on either of those.

Anyway, it's the David Marks design, trimmed in red oak, made from MDF, top and bottom are 3/4", outter skirt of 3/4" MDF, and 1/2" MDF for the guts.

It's on the small side, but big enough for me, already seen a good bit of use, one of the best things that I've built for my shop. 3'x4'

If I remember right, the one that David Marks built on his show was 4 feet square. Yours, at 4' X 3', is not all that much smaller.
Nice job on the fit and finish...I'm jealouse! []

George, I think David's was 4'x5'. Thanks, finish is a couple of coats wipe on poly, and paiste wax, btw

I'm jealous of anyone that has the room to store an assembly table, let alone actually set one up and use it. Looks good, Keith!

Very nice! I have one on my to do list.

Do you plan on making a base for it?

Good job Keith. It is always nice to build something that gets plenty of use.

Great job, Keith. That's what mine would look like if it got wet and shrunk ... you may recall, mine is 42" x 60", also dictated by a lack of floor space.

You will enjoy the heck out of having this thing. Mine is, hands down, one of the best "tools" I've ever added to my shop.

BTW and for the record, the table Marks built on WoodWorks was indeed 4'x5'; and he said he has two ... one that size, and one 4'x8'.

I like it! I just might have to "borrow" your idea after the new shop is built.

Very nice. I currently use my cross cut sled on my TS as a known flat assembly table, so you can see I am in need.

                              A few Q's:

How level and stable is it on those saw horses?

                              How do you store it?

How much does it weigh, and how difficult is it to set up and take down?

                              Thanks.
