    A pressing request from LOML

I've been swamped with work, and also trying to catch up on home exterior projects (fascia boards, etc.), so haven't had a lot of woodworking or woodturning shop time, but LOML asked me to make one of these so she could try her hand at homemade tortillas (flour) during this COVID pandemic. Made entirely of hard maple, which makes it fairly heavy - but its very rigid, so does a great job pressing the dough out. Its a foot square, so can make a normal size tortilla. We use wax paper top and bottom, and it seems to work pretty well. Thanks for looking.

I like projects that make food! Nice job. So just center the dough ball and press down? You get a nice, flat circle? (I have not made tortillas before but we have a metal press)

        Thank you both.

Flat yes, and close to round. My wife presses the dough ball part way, then rotates 90 degrees and presses again.
