    Shadow Box for Grandson graduating from High School

    My older grandson's mother asked me to build a shadow box that she could mount some memorabilia in for her graduating senior. Found some very old redwood my dad had used to make a bench when he was in college (did I mention it was OLD!). Did some resawing, planing and a little router work, mitered the ends and re-enforced with ebony splines. Flocked the insides and used some Watco clear for a finish.

    Nice repurposing of the wood. How did you do the brick design on the back/bottom?

      Lol... Several people who have seen that picture asked the same question... It's a reflection of the brick wall behind me when I took the picture. It WOULD be an interesting effect if it was actually in the flocking!
